Yes, wooden figurines are used to depict a couple officially “gettin’ it on.” But what’s probably more intriguing are some of the benefits of using these figures.

Who would’ve thought that wooden figurines often used by artists for posing studies would make great for sex ed? Here are some additional benefits:

Loosen You Up

What a great way to keep things light and fun then to add a little comedy to sex. I find it particularly funny how the photographer uses artsy angles to get the best shot. Or how they cleverly “set the mood” by positing the figurines on the bed. Giving your readers a little laugh with their education is a sure fire way to make them comfortable.

No Nudity

Although it’s sex, not everyone wants to see the act in high definition. These lovely figurines allow you to see the variety of positions without the distraction of blatant nudity. They even allow for ambiguity by not differentiating between male/female figurines–allowing those of alternative sexual preferences to satisfy their curiosity too!

I also think because of the lack of nudity that these would be great to introduce teens to sex. But enough of all this educational stuff! Let’s see the figurines at work! =D
